A Community Cultural Event
Join us for a community centered cultural event thrown by the Figure Models of New York City. We can't wait to meet you on the other side of the canvas in a light hearted social setting. Come draw some of our fabulous clothed models during a sketch session! Just register for one of the two sketch sessions when you buy your ticket. Are you feeling lucky? You might just walk away with free art supplies when you enter our Raffle for a chance to win! Or how about winning a three hour private drawing session with a professional figure model? If style your thing be sure to pick up some exclusive NYCAMG Gala merch! Want to chat? Meet playwright Pamela Munson Steadman! Enjoy light refreshments throughout the evening while mingling with some of the Top Figure Models of New York City and be Inspired!

Honoring Icons: Featured Talks about Top Models of NYC's Gilded Age
Join us for a historical presentation highlighting two renowned figure models who lived and worked right here in New York City. You have seen their likeness but do you know who they were? Iris McKenney will be illuminating the lives of the Hettie Anderson, model for VICTORY at Grand Army Plaza, and Audrey Munson of Mourning Victory on view at The Met. We are thrilled that our Guest of Honor is Pamela Munson Steadman, the fourth cousin of Audrey Munson. Pam is writing a play about her cousin considered to be the first supermodel. Please don't miss this rare and unique opportunity to connect with the legacies of the women who worked with the best sculptors in America.

Who should attend?
This community centered cultural event is for artists, educators, figure models ,students and supporters of the Arts and Humanities. Chat with peers or just enjoy a casual night out! The VIP reception is from 6 -7 PM and lasts one hour. Become a VIP for a chance to rub elbows with the Gala team and receive a swag bag of exclusive NYCAMG merch as our thank you. (VIP Tickets are limited). General Admission begins at 7 PM. Student Discounts are available with a valid ID. This is a 19+ event.

After the gala, we want every guest to have a better sense that figure models are real human beings who deserve parity, respect in the workplace, and a living wage. Your presence at "The Other Side of the Canvas" helps us amplify this crucial message and advocate for our community. We cannot wait to celebrate with you!
